Annika: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Alison Rowat The Herald (Scotland) There’s so much time spent introducing characters the crime itself seems an afterthought. Then again, it’s the characters that make Annika stand out in a crowded market. Jun 2, 2023 Full Review Annika: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Matt Roush TV Insider We hang on Annika’s every word because she’s played with mischievous bite by the wonderful Nicola Walker... Oct 20, 2022 Full Review Annika: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Caitlin Wyneken Tell-Tale TV I am very intrigued by the idea of a marine homicide unit itself, if only for the scenery provided. The show rightly places weight on its panoramic views. One, from Annika’s boss’s office windows, is so stunning I can hardly pay attention the scene. Brian B Incredible series that I hope continues for years to come. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/24 Full Review Clare D Great lead with depth of character. Loved her quirky sense of humour. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/03/23 Full Review Laurie K Dreadful. Started out ok but devolved into tired, flat, who cares drama. My biggest complaint is that the writer has the therapist violating his ethical code (in ANY jurisdiction in the world) by dating a patient's mom without waiting the requisite amount of years. He has dinner with his former patient present and eventually moves in with them. Shudder. And he doesn't have to give up his license? I could give a fig about the daughter or any of the characters' romantic interests; most kids in series are little more than filler with whiney problems and little talent. And don't get me started on the amateurishly staged action "sequences." Is this still the 1970's? The only redeeming factor in this mess is the scenery. Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/21/23 Full Review Frederick C Great, funny show that is warm and human. A lot of threads going at once. Annika's literary excursions are hilarious and help carry the story. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/18/23 Full Review Maura S It's different. Subtle humor throughout. Theres good chemistry between cast Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/18/23 Full Review S S Light and witty show easy to watch ! I enjoy watching Nicola Walker and she doesn't disappoint in this show. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews
